Rising to Reconciliation

This Sunday 10 April, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in partnership with Poetry Ireland will host an event entitled Rising to Reconciliation: A Journey in Words and Music, to celebrate reconciliation on the island of Ireland over the last 100 years and the 18th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement. Through the media of poetry, music, drama and imagery, Rising to Reconciliation will chart the path from the Easter Rising of 1916 to the Good Friday Agreement of 1998 and the advancement of reconciliation on the island of Ireland over the last century.Missions wishing to engage with this event on social media will wish to be aware that this event will be streamed live this Sunday from 15h00 to 16h30 Irish time on RTE News Now and RTE Player International, and will also be streamed live from the Departments websiteThe recording will also be available internationally online for 30 days following the event on RTE Player International and at the above link.
